Famous Producer Indicted For Forcibly Molesting A Colleague
A famous variety show producer (PD) accused of forcibly molesting a junior colleague at work has been sent to trial.
On the 27th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office announced that on the 24th, PD A was indicted without detention on charges of forcible molestation.
A is accused of unwanted physical contact with B, who worked with him on a variety show production, in the early hours of August 15 last year.
The police acknowledged the physical contact but decided not to prosecute in December last year, stating that intent to molest was not proven.
However, the prosecution launched a supplementary investigation following B’s objection and concluded that the charges were valid after reviewing CCTV footage showing B pushing A away to escape. Accordingly, the prosecution overturned the police’s non-prosecution decision and referred A to trial.
