B1A4 Leaves WM Entertainment After 14 Years
On the 23rd, WM Entertainment announced, “After in-depth discussions with B1A4, we have mutually agreed to terminate the exclusive contract.”
The agency expressed, “We sincerely thank the B1A4 members who have been with us based on trust for the past 14 years. Although the exclusive contract with our company is ending, given the deep bond we’ve shared for a long time, we will wholeheartedly support B1A4 to make even greater strides at their new home.”
They added, “Furthermore, we will continue to collaborate to create synergy between the agency and B1A4, and maintain a cooperative relationship with RBW Japan to strengthen their overseas activities. Beyond a simple artist-agency relationship, B1A4 has been a representative artist of WM and a reliable companion for 14 years. We, the WM staff, will cheer for and bless the members as they fully showcase their talents and take on new challenges.”
Meanwhile, B1A4 debuted as a five-member group in 2011 and released hit songs like “What’s Happening?”, “Baby Good Night,” and “Lonely.” After members Jinyoung and Baro left the group, CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan continued as a trio.
